Responsibilities

DevOps Toolchain:

  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve the DevOps toolchain.
  • Propose and integrate new tools into the DevOps toolchain.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
  • Provide clear communication around expected inputs and outputs.
  • Implement and communicate appropriate metrics around the toolchain.

Continuous Improvement

  • Regularly propose and implement demonstrable improvements to DevOps processes and tooling, including metrics.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
  • Aim to understand domain areas such as underwater acoustics, signal processing, data visualization, and human factors engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or infrastructure automation roles.
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipeline Management, including building, expanding and maintaining DevOps pipelines.
  • Extensive experience with Jenkins for automating builds, tests, and deployments.
  • Proven experience identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in build and deployment pipelines
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices, vulnerability scanning, and compliance requirements in workflows.
  • Experiencing using Bitbucket, artifact repos like Nexus Repository Manager, Linux, and scripting.
  • Experience managing VMware servers an asset. Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes an asset.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus and Grafana an asset.
  • Domain knowledge of acoustics, signal processing, marine mammals, or oceanography would also be considered an asset.

Security Requirements

All candidates must be eligible and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
