Position Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for establishing and coordinating all sales strategies to meet company objectives. This role involves setting sales targets, developing strategic sales plans, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager will lead and manage a team of Territory Managers and customer service representatives, oversee market research and competitor analysis, and contribute to product development efforts to promote sales growth.

Role Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement an overall sales strategy for company products, including pricing and customer service policies.
• Create action plans that define objectives, goals, schedules, and assignments to achieve targeted sales opportunities.
• Develop and manage procedures for customer order processing and supervise sales and customer service teams responsible for implementation.
• Oversee market research and analysis, including market segments, buying trends, and competitor analysis.
• Provide recommendations for product improvement, development, and testing.
• Verify and report on sales activities, including leads generated, sales orders received, sales by product, and customer lists, determining appropriate reporting frequency (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
• Ensure communications support sales plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements.
• Recommend improvements to sales strategies based on market research and competitor analysis.
• Implement and manage distribution strategies and multiple channel selling approaches.
• Build, develop, and manage a sales team capable of executing sales and service initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, Ag Business, or a related field.
• MBA preferred.

Job Expectations / Working Conditions:
• This position requires frequent travel (over 50%), including international travel.
• Must be able to travel outside the local area and overnight as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, managing multiple priorities.
