Job Summary:

The machine setup technician's role at our Windsor Mold Tooling facility is to support the machining department by completing workpiece setup on CNC machines, material handling using both overhead crane and forklift, completing basic machine maintenance, housekeeping and other general labor duties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete and verify machine setups to the direction provided.
• Positions and secures work piece on FCS, holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures, using clamps and wrenches
• Moving completed jobs to the location of their next scheduled task
• General housekeeping of the plant and equipment
• Material handling using overhead crane and forklift
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
• Communicate with colleagues and follow instructions accurately while also being able to work independently.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Preferred experience with set up and operation of CNC machines
• Knowledge of FCS Modular work holding systems an advantage
• Ability to work rotating shift and overtime as required
• Ability to perform under pressure and work independently
• Crane & forklift experience considered an asset
• Must understand and be able to work in both imperial and metric systems
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office knowledge
• Above average technical abilities
• High standard of professionalism and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to follow direction and observe all procedures and safety policies
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Demonstrated trustworthiness, accountability and reliability
• Ability to demonstrate self-motivation and teamwork
