Summary of Position:
Reporting to the Director of Software and Data, the Product Owner acts as a crucial bridge between the business stakeholders and the technology team. This role ensures the successful execution of projects by facilitating clear communication, translating business needs into actionable tasks for the development team, and adhering to Agile SDLC principles. The candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of solutions that align with strategic objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Business-Technology Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the technology team. Gather business requirements, translate them into user stories, and ensure the development team understands and aligns with the business vision.
● Agile SDLC Facilitation: Serve as an expert in Agile SDLC, actively facilitating Agile board management, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Coach the team and business on Agile principles to optimize flow and efficiency.
● Product Ownership: Guide the definition of product vision in collaboration with business stakeholders. Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Clearly articulate user stories and acceptance criteria.
● Project Planning and Execution: Plan and oversee projects using Kanban methodologies. Manage workflow, identify and remove blockers, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
● Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication between business and technology stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues. Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and provide demos.
● Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve processes, with a focus on enhancing collaboration and communication between business and technology teams within the Kanban framework.
● Release Management: Coordinate with both business and technology teams on the release process, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
● Strong understanding and proven experience with Agile SDLC (Scrum and Kanban).
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical audiences.
● Strong project management skills and experience managing projects using Agile SDLCs.
● Ability to facilitate meetings and workshops.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, being detail-oriented, particularly in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
● Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements and user stories.
● 2+ years of experience in a similar role
