What will you do? As a Solutions Deployment Engineer, you'll be a key member of our Solutions Deployment Team, reporting to the Manager of Solutions Deployment. You'll work closely with our Onboarding and Support teams to plan and deliver client-facing projects that address critical IT resilience and cloud infrastructure needs. This is a hands-on role, focused on executing project tasks efficiently while providing a high-touch, customer-centric experience throughout the deployment process.

What are the details?

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure Veeam Backup & Replication and related Veeam solutions for client environments

  • Deploy Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, including setup of backup jobs and storage repositories

  • Provision and configure virtual machines, including firewalls, within cloud environments such as VMware vCloud Director

  • Perform initial VM configurations for clients, including setup of Domain Controllers, Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environments, and other foundational infrastructure

  • Deploy Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solutions to enhance clients' internal cybersecurity posture

  • Set up and configure basic Microsoft 365 environments, including license provisioning and user account creation

  • Coordinate with Sales and Account Management to fulfill client requests promptly and according to documented procedures

  • Manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and meeting aggressive delivery timelines

  • Identify and communicate project risks and deviations from scope, proposing actionable solutions when needed

  • Collaborate closely with client IT teams to ensure successful deployment and handoff of solutions

  • Act as the primary point of contact for client onboarding, including scheduling, answering inquiries, and providing guidance before, during, and after project delivery

  • Document and update project progress in internal dashboards, tracking systems, and ticketing platforms

  • Troubleshoot and resolve deployment roadblocks, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain momentum

  • Deliver clear, concise, and professional communication across all project phases

  • Partner with management to suggest improvements to internal processes, with a focus on efficiency and enhancing the customer experience
