Belvika is currently seeking a Load Planner to assist the warehouse distribution and supply chain. This position will be based at the Export facility located at 450 Export, Mississauga. They are responsible for the optimal planning of inbound and outbound loads at our Export location based on the capacity of labour, equipment and dock time. This role is very dynamic and requires agility, decision-making and collaboration. The successful candidate will: * Coordinates and assigns inbound and outbound load requirements as per customer demand and production schedules; * Ensure delivery windows are met for customer deliveries; * Work closely with the warehouse team to drive efficiencies in transportation and dock scheduling; * Communicating with carriers to coordinate arrival times and loading/unloading procedures; * Collaborating with procurement, finance and inventory team to manage on-dock inventory; * Setting carrier appointments for inbound and outbound shipments; * Assure proper communications between all company departments, carriers, and customers; * Monitor production schedules to ensure all customer requirements are met within the required production timelines; * Communicate & provide daily information related to inbound and outbound activities related to the production plan and requirements and indicate impacts on schedule for proposed changes; * Aligns production requirements for short and long-term requirements and follow up on production plans; * Tracking inventory levels and ensuring adequate supplies are available for loading and unloading; * Assume ownership of scheduling inbounds and outbounds based on available stock/inventory, dock doors, manpower and equipment; * Finalize and publish following days inbound and outbound schedule to drive recommendations to operations and planning teams; * Work with customer deployment team to plan outbounds based on requirement at the regional distribution centers; * Follow all Company health and safety policies and procedures and work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act; * Other tasks as assigned by your supervisor or designate. Education/Work experience requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent (College diploma in Supply Chain Management or Related Courses an asset); * Minimum 2 years' experience in Logistics * Experience using SAP or other Open Dock, and other transportation/distribution management systems, preferred. Key technical & behavioural competencies: * Excellent leadership, problem solving, analytical and organization skills; * Effective written and verbal communication skills; * Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) proficiency. * Ability to work under time/date driven deadlines * Strong customer orientation, sense of urgency, and problem-solving skills * Good understanding of inventory management * Basic MRP/MPS knowledge * Good use of geographic/routes/map skills * Understanding lead times, EDI and KPIs We thank all candidates for their interest; however only those most qualified will be contacted.
