Senior Landscape Maintenance Technician

Garden City Tree & Landscape Ltd. is looking for an experienced Senior Maintenance landscaper to lead a small crew in maintaining residential and commercial landscapes. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with 3+ years of field experience, strong plant knowledge, and a passion for quality work and client service.

What Youll Do:

• Lead a crew of 12 team members on landscape maintenance tasks.
• Carry out detailed pruning and hedging of trees and shrubs, along with mowing, weeding, planting, and overall garden bed maintenance.
• Operate and maintain commercial-grade tools and equipment.
• Track job progress and materials using mobile software.
• Communicate directly with clients and represent the company professionally.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform seasonal winter work on anti-ice and snow removal as required.

What You Bring:

• 3+ years experience in landscape maintenance (required).
• Strong skills in pruning, hedging, plant and tree ID, and seasonal care.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Valid Class 5 drivers license is required.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors year-round.
• Frist Aid and /or fall protection tickets are an assets
• Horticulture certification is an asset.

Compensation

$25-$28 per hour depending on skills and experience.

Schedule:

• Regular: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Seasonal Hours (May 12 to September 28, 2025):Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Work Location:Different Greater Victoria work sites.
