As a Footcare Nurse, you'll work independently within one or more of these communities, delivering critical services that support mobility, comfort, and quality of life.Position: Independent Contractor – Footcare Nurse (Seniors' Homes)This is a rare opportunity to work with a respected healthcare organization while making a direct impact in the lives of seniors.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional footcare services including assessments, treatment, and education.
  • Support early detection and prevention of foot-related complications, particularly for residents living with diabetes.
  • Operate independently within assigned seniors' residences, while benefiting from the full administrative and clinical support of LMC Footcare.
  • Uphold best practices in sterilization, infection prevention, and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted nursing registration with your provincial regulatory body.
  • Certification in Advanced Footcare Nursing and relevant clinical experience.
  • Proof of professional liability insurance.
  • Knowledge of:
  • - CAFCN National Competencies
  • - Infection control standards (IPAC Canada)
  • - Instrument reprocessing protocols (PHO, CSA, CDMR, etc.)
  • Membership with RNAO or RPNAO preferred.
