What Youll Do:
- Accountable for managing relationships and profitability for assigned key accounts.
- Gather market knowledge to identify opportunities and develop strategies to successfully grow key accounts.
- Identify potential new customers through focused research, inside and outside referrals & networking.
- Schedule, create and deliver leading category presentations promoting our products and services to potential customers. Following through on opportunities and closing the sale is critical.
- Stays abreast of company and competitor products, pricing and solutions.
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Advises customers of sales and advertising strategies.
- Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist customers in promoting sales.
- Meets with key customers to maintain relationships, negotiate and close deals.
- Works with internal employees and customers on collection of past due accounts.
- Focuses on new product launches and promotions by getting the information to customer accounts.
- Attends trade shows to promote Kawartha Dairy and increase customer base.
- Has superior customer engagement and relationships by leveraging consistent contact and being seen as a category expert.
- Leverages sales and market trends to provide weekly forecasts.
- Ensures that proper corrective and preventive measures are in place for addressing customer complaints.
- Works with distributors on growing the Kawartha Dairy brand in respective territories.
What You Need to Get the Job Done:
- Bachelors degree or higher in a related field or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Seasoned Key Accounts Manager with experience in at least one of the channels; Gas and Convenience, Food Service, Grocery (West), and/or Walmart.
- Prior experience developing sales plans and strategies with strong financial acumen.
- Confident and highly articulate - able to create and deliver detailed communication.
- Passion for uncovering innovative approaches to improve process and outcome.
- Have had a previous track record of success in a sale environment.
