About the Opportunity

We are actively seeking an innovative, energetic and creative Manager's of Home Share. Reporting to a Director of Director of Programs, the Manager of Home Share will work closely with the supported individuals and teams to provide an environment of support that is focused on supporting the individuals to live as independently as possible. The Manager of Home Share is accountable for the day to day management of the Home Share Provider's locations and relief pool. This role primarily administrative; direct supports may be required from time-to-time.

The Manager of Home Share provides direct coaching and support to a group of Home Share Coordinators. Managers are considered to be professionals, leaders and part of the CLS management team. CLS will require from time to time, movement to an alternate geographic program/location within the organization to facilitate transfer of knowledge and staff development. This position is accountable to actively work with the Administration team including other Director(s), as assigned.

General Duties:

  • Oversight of multiple locations, ensuring effective and smooth operation of the location, including emergency preparedness
  • Engaging and supporting individuals to live as full citizens
  • Provide leadership to Home Share Providers to ensure the effective support of the Supported Individuals in all areas of decision making, informed choices, goal achievement and safety and security, while respecting the values, customs, and beliefs of the individual.
  • Selecting, onboarding, training and the development of these Home Share Coordinators.
  • General administration including scheduling, timecard approvals, budgeting, and financial accountabilities for all the locations and individuals within the designated locations
  • General administration and reporting related to the support of the individuals.
  • Maintaining strong and supportive relationships with all the supported individual networks, members of the public, family members and team members.
  • Act as primary contact for CLBC Analysts for referrals and queries.

About You

Your experience in providing positive, consistent and empowering support to adults with developmental disabilities coupled with your inspirational leadership style will enable you to flourish in this role. You are known for supporting individuals in achieving their chosen goals and experiencing success in their lives by providing skills and opportunities to develop and build their social / friend network, participate in their community, take part in local activities, obtain volunteer or paid employment and learn skills associated with daily living. As an organized and resourceful professional, you are capable to creative problem solving in an efficient manner.

Through a welcoming and enabling approach, you are capable of developing a flourishing, supportive, open work environment for all staff, individuals and networks. You will be an exemplary role-model of Person Centered Active Supports to employees, families and the wider community, through all your interactions with the individuals you support, using new approaches and techniques. You possess the following skills or meet the following requirements:

Required:
  • Class 5 driver's license
  • Access to a vehicle
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Clear criminal record (paid by CLS)
  • Clean driver's abstract
  • Medical Form with immunization record
  • Previous leadership and supervisory experience
  • Strong computer and administrative skills
  • Significant knowledge and demonstrated excellence in Person Centered Active Supports concepts and approaches

  • Crisis prevention and intervention skills
  • Special skills: medical training, ASL
  • Health care and mental health knowledge

Hours: Based on a 35 hour work week – schedule to be determined with the Director

Additional Information: Rotating on-call manager for weekend coverage once every 2 months and evening emergency calls (seldom)

Salary: $‎77,500 per year
