With a collaborative and forward-thinking culture, the firm is seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee key client relationships and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Position Summary:
The Account Manager plays a central role in managing client engagements from start to finish, serving as the primary liaison between the firm and its clients. This individual will be responsible for reviewing and managing bookkeeping and accounting workflows, coordinating with internal staff, and ensuring client expectations and compliance requirements are met. The ideal candidate brings both technical accounting knowledge and strong interpersonal skills to build lasting client relationships.
Position Summary:
The Client Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial information for a portfolio of clients. This includes full-cycle bookkeeping, GST/PST filings, payroll, year-end package preparation, and support with CRA audits and correspondence. This is a client-facing role where attention to detail, technical accuracy, and proactive communication are key to success.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for a variety of small business clients (AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations)
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Complete GST, PST, and payroll remittances in compliance with deadlines
  • Prepare year-end working paper files
  • Respond to and assist with CRA audit and review inquiries on behalf of clients
  • Liaise directly with clients to obtain required documentation and clarify financial data
  • Support T4, T5, and other annual filing requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date and organized client records using cloud-based accounting software
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and client processes

Qualifications:
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on accounting/bookkeeping experience, ideally in a public practice or multi-client setting
  • Proficiency in cloud accounting platforms
  • Strong understanding of Canadian payroll, GST/HST, and year-end procedures
  • Experience preparing working paper files and supporting year-end engagements
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • CPA a definite asset
