Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Commercial & Project Controls to oversee the financial aspects of our construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring project budgets, tracking costs, preparing financial reports, and supporting commercial decision-making to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and control project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.

Track and report on project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.

Prepare and analyze cost reports, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.

Support the preparation of monthly valuations, cost value reconciliations (CVRs), and final accounts.

Assist with procurement and contract administration, including reviewing supplier and subcontractor invoices.

Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost tracking.

Evaluate and manage risks related to cost and commercial performance.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in cost control or commercial management, preferably in the construction or engineering sector.

Strong knowledge of cost control principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Proficiency in cost management software.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certification

Experience with large-scale infrastructure or commercial construction projects.

Rotations: 14 days in / 14 days out

Shifts: 12 hrs (days/nights)

Location: Northwestern, BC

Flights, Meal Allowance and Camp Accommodations Provided.

Drug & Alcohol clearance required. Provided by the Employer.
