Term of App't: Seasonal Part Time (Monday - Friday, 17.5 hours per week)

Salary:
Classification 8 $26.74 - $27.57 per hour. This position is covered by the BCGEU Support Staff Collective Agreement. It is a seasonal ongoing appointment, with an annual layoff at the end of June and recall in late August.
Benefits include approximately 49.75 vacation hours annually (pro-rated and front loaded) intended for use during the summer layoff period. Extended health and dental benefits after 6 months of employment. Leave entitlements for family and personal illness, medical appointments, and other special leaves. Christmas closure is paid time off from December 25 - January 1 each year.
This position receives an additional $1.54 per hour for Atlin isolation allowance.
Description:
The Campus Clerk plays an essential role in supporting the daily operations of our campus, serving as the first point of contact for students, staff, and the public. This position is responsible for providing information about college-wide programs, and assisting with inquiries in person, by phone, and through written communication.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing accurate and courteous information related to programs, policies, and procedures.
- Maintaining course interest lists and following up with prospective students by phone or email.
- Processing student registrations and maintaining up-to-date student records in the Ellucian Colleague student records registration system.
- Performing end-of-day cash reconciliation and preparing deposits with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment, and the flexibility to manage frequent interruptions.
Note: Evening and weekend shifts may be required on a scheduled basis.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Grade 12 diploma and completion of an office administration course.
- Two years of related work experience.
- Experience and proficiency with a current version of MS Office.
- Validation of cash and balance of accounts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred:
- Experience with student records registration system.
