Objective:
Operating out of our London, ON location and reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, the primary responsibility of this position is to ensure delivery of magazines, books, fixtures, and any other products or materials as required by Accelerate360 in a cost effective, efficient and professional manner. This position is also responsible for following company mandates, policies and rules regarding safety, delivery, vehicles and conduct as well as all related Provincial rules and regulations.
This is a position that we are hoping to hire for ASAP.
Hours: 40 hours/week. Shifts go from 4:00AM-2:00PM Tuesday to Friday.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Attend work at the specified start time.
- Operates forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move products safely and efficiently within the warehouse or onto transport vehicles.
- Prepare skids and cages for loading onto trailers. Ensure all skids/cages have been loaded onto the correct trailers so each trailer is accurately loaded with the designated skids/cages for each depot in a timely manner.
- Breakdown of incoming product onto separate skids for delivery.
- Other duties as assigned
Safety Requirements:
- Safety boots required without exception
- Lifting requirements: 30+ lbs consistently
- Use materials handling equipment (carts, pushers)
- Driving and walking, entering and exiting trucks from side and rear doors required
Skill / Knowledge Requirements:
- Valid G-Class driving license
- Valid Forklift Operator's License.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or 1-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
- Computer knowledge and ability to properly use a computer for email and to print documents.
- Able to use Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook
- Able to understand and access the Internet for various purposes
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, as well as write simple correspondence.
- Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to colleagues.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
