Job Title: Assistant Store Manager
Reports to: Store Manager

The Assistant Manager partners and works with the Management to achieve overall sales and payroll budgets and operating practices. The ASM drives sales and profitability on the floor through exceptional customer service at the cash area, fitting room, and sales floor. This individual partners with the team in recruiting and drives coaching and training of all sales floor colleagues. Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term store goals in line with the company vision and values.
Responsibilities
Drive sales to meet the store budget
Proactively analyze, monitor, and react to weekly store sales looking for opportunities to increase sales
Monitor daily sales and payroll, and take appropriate action based on trend and opportunity
Performs all opening and closing procedures as per standards and guidelines
Assist the team during the recruitment process from time to time.
Training and orientation of all new sales associates
Development and implementation of colleague coaching and supporting the management with training plans
Develop and manage the scheduling of all the Sales Associates in the store.
Ensure the cash desk area and fitting room procedures and controls are adhered to and followed
Lead by example to orchestrate the store staff to accomplish daily priorities and workload
Ensures markdowns are processed correctly and merchandised effectively as per standards and direction
Communicates successes, opportunities, and solutions to the Store higher management
Ensures proper signage and marketing execution as per direction and guidelines
Understands, practices and complies with all company policies and procedures
Provides a compelling store environment through leading by example, inspiring the team and interacting with customers
Provides feedback on performance, training and coaching the team on opportunities, and sets each team member up to succeed through positive leadership
Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support documents.
Required Experience and Qualifications
2+ years of retail management experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Planning, prioritizing and follow-up skills
Ability to accurately assess talent and ability to coach, provide feedback and develop a high-performing team
Passion for customer service and leading a positive work environment
Ability to resolve conflict situations in a proactive and professional manner
Open availability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, store openings and closings to meet the needs of the business, including one weekend day and two closing shifts per week
