STRIVE Recruitment is currently hiring a Junior Accountant for a growing distribution organization based in Delta, BC. This is a full-time, on-site role, ideal for someone who is eager to learn, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply and process customer payments, including cheques, EFTs, credit cards, and e-transfers
  • Follow up with clients on outstanding balances and respond to AR-related inquiries
  • Upload and process vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and assist with reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for items such as loans, audit adjustments, prepaids, and leases
  • Generate daily sales and cash flow reports to support internal decision-making
  • Conduct sales analysis with a focus on identifying low-margin transactions
  • Provide occasional reception coverage and support the team with general administrative duties

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 12 years of accounting experience in a Canadian work environment
  • Familiarity with federal and provincial tax regulations (an asset)
  • Strong communication skillswritten, verbal, and phone
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and good with time management
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a desire to grow
