STRIVE Recruitment is currently hiring a Junior Accountant for a growing distribution organization based in Delta, BC. This is a full-time, on-site role, ideal for someone who is eager to learn, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply and process customer payments, including cheques, EFTs, credit cards, and e-transfers
- Follow up with clients on outstanding balances and respond to AR-related inquiries
- Upload and process vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and assist with reconciling general ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly journal entries for items such as loans, audit adjustments, prepaids, and leases
- Generate daily sales and cash flow reports to support internal decision-making
- Conduct sales analysis with a focus on identifying low-margin transactions
- Provide occasional reception coverage and support the team with general administrative duties
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance
- 12 years of accounting experience in a Canadian work environment
- Familiarity with federal and provincial tax regulations (an asset)
- Strong communication skillswritten, verbal, and phone
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and good with time management
- Team player with a positive attitude and a desire to grow
