Reporting directly to the CEO, the Senior Director of Marketing will lead the entire marketing function, aligning product, brand, and go-to-market plans to accelerate company growth. This role will oversee product marketing, content and digital strategy, field and customer marketing, and support investor relations. You'll lead a high-performing team and leverage AI, data, and experimentation to push this company to the forefront of MedTech innovation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement a full-funnel marketing strategy focused on scalable demand generation.
- Align brand, product, and go-to-market execution to maximize market impact.
- Drive awareness and differentiation in target markets.
- Create integrated campaigns that utilize digital, content, and field marketing to generate leads and increase pipeline velocity.
- Enable the sales team with customer-ready assets, tools, and messaging to drive performance.
- Use AI-based tools to personalize outreach and improve marketing efficiency.
- Define and refine the company's value propositions based on customer segments and competitive positioning to enhance its market presence.
- Collaborate with R&D and Clinical Affairs to shape product roadmaps and translate features into market value.
- Identify unmet needs and help develop new product offerings to address them.
- Support the CEO with investor communications, presentations, and brand positioning.
- Ensure consistent, high-impact messaging across all corporate channels.
- Lead and mentor a nimble, cross-functional marketing team focused on agility and experimentation.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, bold thinking, and continuous learning.
- Actively contribute as part of the senior leadership team.
RequirementsEDUCATION & TRAINING
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is required.
- MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven ability to scale marketing for a small to mid-sized company or product line.
- Experience in the medical device, MedTech, or healthcare sector is required.
- Successful track record in U.S. or global marketing initiatives.
- Strategic planning and tactical execution across brand, demand, and product marketing.
- Expertise in segmentation, customer journey mapping, and persona-driven messaging.
- Strong instincts in both creative content development and data-driven optimization.
- Familiarity with modern marketing stacks, CRMs, automation platforms, and AI tools.
- Proficient in budgeting, KPI measurement, and ROI-based decision-making.
- Hybrid role with on-site presence required at headquarters in Mississauga.
- Willingness to travel (~25%) for customer engagement, conferences, and team collaboration.
