About the Role:
Vitacore Industries Inc. is looking for a dynamic, engaged, and enthusiastic Co-Op student to join our amazing Marketing team as a Social Media Specialist! This position will work closely with the Marketing team to help create and post social media content for our various social media channels. This individual will have prior social media content creation experience along with a strong desire to regularly update our feeds with relevant posts. You get paid to be online! Responsibilities include:
  • Follow Vitacore's brand guidelines to design and build engaging social media posts over a 2-year calendar.
  • Create, schedule, and publish content aligned with healthcare, recycling, and relevant holidays or observances.
  • Research and implement an effective social media strategy to maintain engagement and attract new followers/customers.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Assistant and coordinate with departments including Sales, Innovation, Manufacturing, and HR to highlight: new partnerships, product and technology developments, Team member spotlights.
  • Produce and edit short-form videos and visual content to promote Vitacore's mission and work (e.g., recycling initiatives, behind-the-scenes lab footage, PPE innovations).
  • Monitor trends, hashtags, and competitor activity to propose new ideas and content angles.
  • Track and report on social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, growth) using tools such as Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics, and YouTube Studio.
  • Manage and maintain consistent presence across key platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube.
  • Engage with comments and messages in a timely, professional tone that reflects Vitacore's values.
  • Maintain an organized content library of images, videos, and design assets.
  • Support marketing efforts related to public awareness campaigns and community engagement.
  • Bring creativity, curiosity, and initiative to suggest ways to evolve the brand's online presence.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must be a post-secondary student registered in a Co-Op program.
  • Prior content creation experience a big plus.
  • Desire to be involved in social media content creation, posting, and engagement.
Compensation:
  • $20-24 per hour.
  • 2 weeks paid vacation.
  • Multiple company events throughout the year.
