DFnet, a mission-driven clinical research company, is seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development to lead growth efforts for our software and service solutions. From regulated EDC tools to expert clinical data management and biostatistics, DFnet supports research teams across biotech, CRO, and global health sectors.
You will work directly with our CEO and cross-functional teams to shape strategy, build strong relationships, and turn leads into long-term clients.
What Youll Do
- Lead business development strategy to meet revenue and growth goals
- Identify and secure new opportunities with biotech, CRO, and global health organizations
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through outreach, referrals, and industry connections
- Present DFnets software (DFdiscover) and services through tailored demos and proposals
- Lead client discovery meetings, RFPs, bid defenses, and contract negotiations
- Collaborate with sales, product, operations, and biometrics to align messaging and delivery
- Represent DFnet at industry events, virtual conferences, and partner meetings
- Track outreach and deal stages in CRM; provide clear forecasts and pipeline reports
What You'll Bring
Required:
- 57 years of business development or sales experience in clinical research, eClinical software, or life sciences
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging a range of stakeholders
- Experience working with biotech or pharmaceutical clients
- Understanding of clinical trials, EDC, and/or data management services
Preferred:
- Experience working at or with CROs, data service providers, or clinical research networks
- Familiarity with EDC platforms like DFdiscover or similar
- Strategic mindset with experience developing new service lines or verticals

This is a fully remote role based in Canada. Candidates must have a secure home workspace and high-speed internet access. Occasional travel to conferences or client meetings may be required.
Compensation: Total compensation varies based on location, experience, and performance. The estimated base salary range is $110,000$125,000, with commission and bonus opportunities.
