Were looking for a hands-on, service-oriented Lounge Manager to lead the daily operations of our vibrant lounge. In this role, youll be responsible for supervising front-of-house staff, ensuring exceptional guest service, managing inventory and ordering, maintaining AGLC compliance, and supporting staff training and development.

The ideal candidate is someone who leads by example, stays calm under pressure, and knows how to balance smooth operations with a welcoming guest experience.

Summary

Under the direction of the Casino General Manager, the Lounge Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the lounge area, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management. This position is also responsible for managing and coaching lounge staff, including bartenders, servers, and hosts/hostesses, to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lounge area, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Ensure that the lounge is properly set up and maintained to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner, striving to exceed guest expectations.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise lounge staff, including bartenders and servers
  • Ensure compliance with all gaming regulations and security protocols within the lounge area.
  • Monitor service levels and product quality to ensure consistency and adherence to company standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the lounge area to maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Manage inventory levels of beverages, snacks, and other lounge supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with inventory control procedures.
  • Foster open communication and collaboration among lounge staff and other departments within the casino.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of service and efficiency at the Casino Lounge.
  • Participate in staff meetings and provide feedback and suggestions for improving operations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to improve lounge operations continuously.
  • Other duties or tasks assigned by the Casino General Manager

Education, Qualification and Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a lounge or bar setting.
  • Experience in the Casino Industry is an asset.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a passion for creating memorable experiences for guests.
  • Knowledge of beverage service techniques, including cocktail preparation and wine service.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • As a condition of employment, associates are to have a criminal record check prior to their first day of work.

Work Environment

  • Able to stand and walk repeatedly over the course of a shift.
  • Ability to tolerate exposures to heat, cold and water.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and distracting environment.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, there may be stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, and crouching.
  • Regularly exposed to, including but not limited to, hazardous situations and conditions that produce cuts or minor burns.

Hours of Work

  • The hours of work for this position will vary depending on operational requirements but will include day, evening and late night, as well as weekends and holidays. The minimum hours of work is 40 hours per week.
