JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Production Operations Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for reporting out daily issues and downtime to the Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works cooperatively in a team-oriented fashion to maintain, repair and fabricate machines, equipment, and devices in the 2575639 Ontario Inc. manufacturing
• Complies with all Company safety policies, procedures and rules
• Adheres to the Technical System Procedures and instructions
• Develops and maintains the Mechanical Preventative Maintenance program with management and production personnel and reports to management on the completion of the audits
• Maintains the inventory of spare parts and requests replacements be ordered when items are consumed
• Performs repairs in the plant and on plant equipment as assigned
• Performs Preventive Maintenance
• Operate lifting equipment such as Lift Truck, Crane, and Chain Hoist, to move, load or unload equipment as required
• Operates all maintenance related equipment including but not limited to Aerial lift, scissor lift, lathe, milling machine, and power tools
• May also be called upon to perform repair welding.
• Actively participates in Continuous Improvement activities
• Knowledgeable of and follows safe working practices
• Maintains a safe and tidy work area
• Ensure the Standards of Section 28 of the OHSA are met
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education, Skills and Experience

• One to two years of practical experience or a minimum of five years of related experience.
• Able to diagnose and remedy any mechanical, pneumatic, electrical or hydraulic problems on the shift.
