What Were Looking For

We are looking to add a Workfront Practice Lead to our growing team at Northern!
In this role, you will be responsible for driving the strategic implementation, adoption, and optimization of Adobe Workfront across the organization and for our clients. You will oversee the entire delivery lifecycle, from scoping and design through to execution, training, and ongoing support. As a key leader in growing our Workfront practice, you will shape delivery frameworks, define best practices, and work cross-functionally to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions. You will be the primary subject matter expert, guiding both internal teams and clients in configuring workflows, providing training, and aligning Workfront with business needs. Additionally, you will manage client relationships, lead project delivery, and contribute to continuous improvement in our Workfront offerings.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Lead Strategic Implementation & Optimization: Drive the end-to-end implementation, adoption, and ongoing optimization of Adobe Workfront across internal teams and client organizations, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Build & Scale the Workfront Practice: Define and evolve scalable delivery frameworks, best practices, and quality standards to support consistent, high-impact Workfront implementations.
  • Client Engagement & Solution Design: Partner with clients to deeply understand their business needs, translating them into tailored Workfront solutions that deliver measurable value and efficiency.
  • Platform Configuration & Integration: Design and configure Workfront instances including custom workflows, roles, reporting, dashboards, and integrations with adjacent systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Jira, Salesforce).
  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Lead discovery sessions and document business and technical requirements, ensuring a clear path from configuration through to deployment.
  • User Enablement & Support: Oversee the delivery of user training, documentation, and UAT support to drive adoption, ease of use, and long-term platform success.
  • Project Oversight & Risk Management: Collaborate with project and account managers to track milestones, surface risks, and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Go-Live Planning & Transition: Lead cutover and launch activities, ensuring smooth transitions from implementation to post-launch support and ongoing optimization.
  • Resource Planning & Forecasting: Work with the VP of Content Supply Chain to estimate project scope, resource needs, and timelines for Workfront initiatives.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Hire, mentor, and manage a team of Workfront configurators and consultants, ensuring effective delegation and ongoing team development.
  • Product Expertise & Innovation: Stay abreast of Adobe Workfront product updates, emerging features, and integration capabilities; champion innovation and continuous improvement across client and internal implementations.

What Were Looking For:

  • Workfront Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience leading Adobe Workfront implementations, either as a consultant or in-house administrator, with a deep understanding of system configuration, optimization, and user adoption.
  • Consulting & Client Leadership: 5+ years of experience in an agency or consulting environment, with a proven track record of managing complex client relationships and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, Computer Science, Marketing Operations, or a related discipline.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Adobe Workfront Core and/or Expert Certifications; additional credentials in Agile/Scrum (e.g., CSM, SAFe) and/or Change Management (e.g., Prosci, Lean Six Sigma) are strong assets.
  • Implementation Leadership: Demonstrated experience overseeing full lifecycle Workfront deployments, from discovery to launch, with a strong grasp of project management frameworks and operational workflows.
  • Team & People Management: Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and managing high-performing teamsideally within a project delivery or SaaS implementation context.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to simplify complex topics and bridge gaps between business, technical, and creative stakeholders.
  • Technical Agility: Familiarity with Workfront Fusion or other integration tools is a plus, along with a general ability to navigate and connect enterprise platforms.
