Company Description

Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projects are undertaking the design, build, and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations, and Tunnel (South Civil) package.

As Ontario Transit Group, we are now mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.

The project will strengthen Ontario's economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.

What is the project?

  • A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River).
  • Stations:
    • One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station.
    • Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations.
    • Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown).

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Lands & Property Coordinator to join our dynamic team for a major transportation infrastructure project.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Client and any relevant stakeholders
  • Organize and host meetings with the Client and any relevant stakeholders to discuss Lands, Property, and/or Access subjects
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the Communications Team to ensure appropriate communications are distributed to the public and affected parties
  • Collaborate with legal, engineering, and project management teams to address concerns, negotiate agreements, and ensure timely resolution of lands, property, and access related issues
  • Coordinate and assist in the preparation of monthly Property Access Closure Analysis Reports to be submitted to the Client (ie. Door/Driveway/Sidewalk Closures)
  • Coordinate and assist in the negotiations and acquiring agreements (ie. permission to enter, crane swing, access, etc.) with neighbouring properties and business owners across the Project
  • Monitor, track, and document the various Lands, Property, and/or Access topics for the Project (ie. Lands Handover, PTEs, Crane Swing Agreements, etc.)
Qualifications
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in the delivery of large Heavy Civil and/or Transit & Rail Infrastructure construction projects considered an asset
  • Prior experience working closely with Metrolinx, Infrastructure Ontario, and/or the City Of Toronto considered asset
  • Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Project Management, Urban & Regional Planning, Urban Land Economics, or a related discipline
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong computer skills. Proficient in MS Office 365 software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Self-motivated, with strong client-facing and ability to build relationships and work effectively within various teams
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently while prioritizing and working towards various deadlines
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex property issues, conduct due diligence, and mitigate risks
  • Proficiency in using relevant software applications and databases for property management and reporting
