THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Compliance Specialist will play a critical role on the TechInsights legal team, ensuring the company maintains the highest standards of compliance across our global operations. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution to navigate the complex landscape of international trade regulations, US Export Controls, and other compliance matters. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and continuously improving company-wide policies and procedures that protect the organization while enabling business growth in highly regulated technology markets. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between complex regulatory requirements and practical business operations, serving as both a compliance expert and trusted advisor to cross-functional teams. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to translate regulatory changes into actionable business practices, conduct risk assessments, and build a culture of compliance awareness throughout the organization.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Partner with the General Counsel to maintain, update, and continuously evolve the Company's comprehensive regulatory compliance and corporate policies and procedures across global operations
  • Lead export control compliance initiatives, including the creation, review, and implementation of policies and procedures resulting from regulatory changes
  • Apply and interpret audit and compliance requirements for various departments
  • Monitor compliance workstreams within the business
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on international customers, business partners, and transactions to ensure compliance with export control requirements
  • Design and implement robust control systems and consistent approaches to address violations of legal rules and internal policies
  • Developing and maintaining restricted party screening procedures
  • Perform regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement
  • Prepare and file required regulatory reports and documentation with appropriate agencies
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive compliance training programs and processes for staff across all departments and geographic locations
WHO YOU ARE
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, International Relations, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in export control compliance, preferably in technology or semiconductor sectors
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing compliance programs and internal controls
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate complex regulatory concepts clearly
  • Proven project management capabilities and experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Working knowledge of US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and sanctions compliance
  • Experience conducting compliance audits and risk assessments
  • Willingness to learn and assist with other corporate governance and legal-related areas of the business
