Lawson Lundell LLP is currently seeking an experienced, competent and knowledgeable Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Vancouver office on a full time, continuing basis. This position will be based in our Environmental, Indigenous and Regulatory Litigation (EIRL) practice group, and the successful candidate will provide support to 2-3 lawyers in this group.
The successful candidate is an organized, enthusiastic, hardworking, team player who would like to join our EIRL practice group. The regular working hours for this role are Monday Friday, 8:30am 4:30pm.
Standard Responsibilities
- Preparing various correspondence and documents
- File maintenance and management
- Assisting with time entry and billing
- Opening/closing client matters
- Preparing expense reports
- Maintaining an efficient file management and bring forward system
- Maintaining a full calendar, email management and managing the lawyer's practice
- Liaising with legal assistants, paralegals, lawyers and clients on file progress
- General administrative duties, as required
Qualifications
- Legal Administrative Assistant certification from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a similar role is an asset
- Previous experience working as a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant is required
- Exceptional aptitude in Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and solve problems in a fast paced environment
- Has the ability to work both independently and as part of a collegial team
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Displays extraordinary customer service in a professional, mature and courteous manner
- Highly dependable and adaptable with great work ethic
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Thetypical salary range for this position is$55,000 - $75,000annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.In addition, we offer a variety of benefits, including:
