YOUR DAY TO DAY:
The Manufacturing Technician will perform a variety of non-standard complex mechanical and technical assignments such as constructing, troubleshooting, maintaining tubes, microwave products and electro-mechanical devices and components.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE TO:

  • Perform a wide variety of non-standard, complex mechanical and technical tasks such as constructing, troubleshooting, adjusting tubes, microwave products, devices, component and systems; usually works in absence of established procedures.
  • Assist engineers or supervisors in determining types of tests to be performed, approves or suggest modifications to testing equipment and analyzes test results to evaluate the performance of developed products or equipment.
  • Examine sketched and preliminary engineering drawings in order to plan the design of new or modified products or mechanical devices.
  • Establish layout dimensions requiring mathematical calculations, mechanical device theories and basic engineering principles.
  • Operate and recommends use of related mechanical equipment and processes necessary to construct, troubleshoot, process and maintain products and/or prototype and custom projects.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the evaluation, acceptance, or rejection of facts pertinent to assignments.
  • Design and improvises complex mechanical equipment, tools, and fixtures as needed.
  • Employ continuing extensive knowledge, diversified skills and technical expertise, making recommendations for design modifications and cost control improvements.
  • Provide technical assistance and leadership as necessary.
  • Train others on majority of products and processes.
  • Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

  • Highly proficient in the use of VNA, PNA, Oscilloscope, DVM, spectrum analyzer, and other test equipment
  • A degree in related technology or equivalent technical training plus 10 years related experience
  • Working knowledge of appropriate theoretical principles and processes encountered in the assigned field
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to use microscope daily
  • Must be able to meet CGP requirements
