We are seeking a Warehouse Manger for the location in Vaughan, Ontario. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for cost effective management, organization and storage of warehouse inventory relative to space. Also the monitoring of goods and materials in support of corporate operational objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report any incidents to the General Manager and HR that adversely affect safety, health and productivity of employees on shift; this includes any violation of the company's Standard Operating Procedures.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results of each customer and company expectations.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Instruction and coordination with Shipping Team Leaders and all employees and lead them in their work responsibilities.
- Implement in house training session and cross training.
INVENTORY CONTROL:
- Ensure that inventory is appropriately secured
- Work with the General Manager to maximize inventory turns by utilizing quantifiable techniques and controls such as; Cycle Counts, EOQ, Maintenance of Safety Stock, Inventory Control Management.
- Assist in managing the internal Physical Inventory Process, which consists of cycle counting and year-end count.
- Establish Inventory right sizing while meeting the turn metric goals of CMPV.
- Ensuring accurate and precise quality and quantity of products shipped and received.
WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT – MATERIAL FLOW:
- Facilitate, support and influence continuous improvement of internal material delivery, storage and location processes.
- Optimize space utilization and reduce internal transit times.
- Responsible for receipt and management of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Participate in regular Crew Talk meetings as conducted by Lead Hands and participating shipping/receiving personnel.
- Maintain FIFO inventory control.
- Contribute and execute the planning and implementation process of warehouse layout changes.
- Ensuring timely and accurate inter branch transfers of goods within CMP Group and VMI.
SAFETY:
- Promote safe work practices as outlined in the Ontario Health and Safety Act.
- Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices as related to QMS and 6S.
- Ability to create and manage warehouse processes.
- Inspect all warehouse equipment and order repairs and replacements when required.
- Participate and contribute to the Joint Health, Safety and Accessibility Committee.
QUALITY:
- Facilitates sustainable 6S program for the Vaughan Warehouse.
- Analyze returned product and coordinate resolution with quality department.
- Adheres to quality inspections at time of receipt of critical materials as per company standards.
TEAM BUILDING
- Participate in 1 x 1 meetings with the General Manager.
- Conduct 1x1 meetings with Lead Hands
OTHERS:
- Provide support for special projects as required.
- Participates in Quality Audits as an Internal Auditor
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience as a warehouse manager in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management and material flow
- 5+ years of experience in operating a reach truck and counter balance forklift
- Valid reach truck forklift licence
- 5+ years of experience or working knowledge of RF Scanners, ERP, and EDI
- 5+ years of experience or proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer technology
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
- Post- Secondary degree in Business Management or combination of relevant experience.
- APICS Certification preferred.
- Experience with Visual ERP considered an asset.
- Strong leadership and problem solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes.
- Strong team building, decision-making, people management skills and skilled in creating accountability and leading by example
HOURS:
- Onsite Monday to Friday
- 7:00 am to 3:30 PM
