As an Industrial Forklift Operator, you'll play a critical role in keeping our production lines moving efficiently and safely. From managing packaging material flow to clearing pallets from automated lines, you'll ensure operations run smoothly and product quality is maintained - all while upholding our high standards of food safety and workplace integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient operation of electric and propane forklift equipment to move product within the packaging and warehouse areas
- Complete pre-inspections of all forklift equipment before each shift
- Transfer of packaging materials to and from packing lines and warehouse racking
- Accurately complete required documentation using the "Wow" inventory system, including inventory transfers, pallet scanning, bin assignments, and forklift maintenance logs
- Troubleshoot minor forklift issues and report any repairs needed
- Maintain clean work areas and perform daily forklift sanitation tasks
- Follow all safety and food safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- A valid Forklift operator license (or willingness to obtain one in Saskatchewan)
- A valid propane filling license (or willingness to obtain one)
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a warehouse or food manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working at heights and with grain allergens (e.g., dust)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing stairs/ladders
Hours of work
This position will be working 12-hr Modified shift schedule, including Weekend and night shifts.
