We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team and help lead projects from concept to completion.
Duties & Responsibilities:Materials & Deliveries Management:
- Coordinate receipt and pickup of materials for commercial projects.
- Review and process purchase orders, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
- Conduct quality checks on all incoming and outgoing materials to ensure accuracy and condition.
- Track back-orders and short shipments, communicating updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation (e.g., signed and dated packing slips) is submitted for reconciliation.
- Notify project teams when materials are shipped to facilitate scheduling and installation.
- Review fabrication packages for completeness, accuracy, and special requirements before production begins.
- Verify accessory lists, cutting instructions, and drawing details before distribution to fabrication teams.
- Delegate fabrication tasks to shop personnel accordingly.
- Attend and participate in production schedule meetings to review project timelines, priorities, and issues.
- Maintain and update production schedules based on fabrication drawing releases and project milestones.
- Coordinate fabrication workflow to align with current and upcoming project needs.
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries in accordance with project deadlines.
- Confirm proper storage of delivered items and ensure the required documentation is completed.
- Collaborate with project teams to confirm additional materials needed for installations.
- Prepare and package all miscellaneous materials for shipment, ensuring completeness.
- Prepare required materials for specialized fabrication processes (e.g., break shapes, closures, sills).
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability ahead of schedule.
- Review and verify electronic time sheets for production staff for job costing purposes.
- Maintain a log of tools issued and returned from job sites; ensure tools are in working condition.
- Manage repair or replacement of damaged equipment and notify management as needed.
- Ensure shop machinery is maintained in safe working conditions through regular cleaning and lubrication.
- Perform or schedule maintenance for vehicles and equipment, including safety checks and compliance.
- Ensure safe and proper loading of vehicles and trailers.
- Assist in onboarding and training staff on machinery and safety protocols, using sign-off documentation.
- Support departmental goals and promote alignment with company objectives.
- Motivate and lead team members while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Communicate disciplinary or commendatory actions to management prior to execution.
- Maintain an organized and stocked inventory room.
- Prepare and update inventory control documents.
- Provide regular updates on material usage for project cost tracking.
- Enforce adherence to uniform and PPE policies for safety and professionalism.
- Monitor compliance with company policies related to equipment maintenance, truck inventory, mobile devices, etc.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review schedules, progress, and address concerns.
- Coordinate with contractors and project managers to resolve deficiencies promptly.
- Communicate regularly with construction and project management teams to align on sequencing and critical timelines.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery are properly shut down at the end of each day.
