Company Overview
The Rockland Park Homeowners Association (RPHOA) is a not-for-profit corporation whose purpose is to
manage, maintain, and operate the HOA amenities. The RPHOA will own, operate, and maintain the Rockland
Park Lodge, a 4,750 sq. ft. exclusive community lifestyle centre that is situated on a 4-acre site. The main
building will be the primary entrance into the park and will include multi-use rooms, a kitchenette, gathering
spaces, and family-friendly change rooms and showers. The exclusive park will provide activities for all seasons
with an outdoor swimming pool that includes a 25-meter lap pool and family-friendly zero entry area, pool side
cabanas, a year-round hot tub, playground, central fire pit and gathering area, casual skate/adventure trail,
hockey rink/basketball/modular skateboard area, pickleball courts, and amphitheatre.

Position Summary
“Ambassador of Fun," "Memory Maker," and "Neighbour Connector" are just a few of the underlying titles of
this important role. The Lifestyle Coordinator reports directly to the General Manager, and is responsible for
designing and implementing a wide variety of seasonal recreational offerings including registered programs
and workshops, value-added activities, clubs, and special community events. Additionally, this role will
manage captivating social media and website content to engage customers and encourage participation in
all of the community's exciting happenings! RPHOA is dedicated to promoting engaging lifestyles for all
community members by offering opportunities to learn new skills, stay physically and mentally healthy, and
make valuable neighbour connections. Weekend and evening work will be required from time to time to
facilitate programs and events and to attend team meetings. If you're bursting with ideas and ready to have a

Key Responsibilities:
Recreational Offerings:
  • Research, develop, plan, implement, and evaluate a variety of recreational offerings (registered programs, clubs, value-added activities, day camps, and events) to meet the needs of the community.
  • Promote and market all recreational offerings.
  • Book appropriate rooms and secure equipment for all offerings, purchasing as needed within the approved budget.
  • Keep team members updated on the status of offerings, including set up/takedown requirements.
  • Recruit and manage instructors, volunteers, and team members for all recreational offerings.
  • Address relevant questions, comments, and concerns of residents in a timely manner.
  • Work within the programs and events budgets, providing expected incomes and expenses monthly.
  • Administrate functions of programming, including contracts, licenses and agreements.
  • Write, edit and produce seasonal calendars/brochures of all recreational offerings.
  • Review, confirm, and submit invoices for payment.
  • Create and implement policy and procedure manuals related to programming.
  • Continue ongoing research, development, and analysis of all offerings, implementing new trends when viable.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records of all recreational programs.
  • Assist the General Manager with the preparation and monitoring of the annual operating budget for recreation revenue and expenses.
  • Supervise RPHOAs Summer Camps.
  • Obtain feedback from participants and conduct community engagement to guide future planning.

Marketing and Communication:
  • Work with the General Manager to design and execute an annual marketing and social media strategy to creatively market/advertise all recreational offerings through various means (including RPHOA website, Lodge communication boards, social media etc.).
  • Ensure all current contact information for the facility, as well as information for upcoming programs, events, seminars, registration dates, etc. is accurate on the RPHOA website.
  • Assist the General Manager to maintain the RPHOA website, Facebook, Linked-In, and Instagram accounts.
  • Support e-newsletter distribution with required materials to promote recreational offerings.
  • Write, edit and produce materials on events for distribution to the residents.
  • Seek out, coordinate, and complete sponsorship agreements for requests to support events from local community businesses for events.

Teamwork:
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience and lead employees through example.
  • Assist with front-of-line service for all the residents needs, as required.
  • Check in residents and their guests, making them feel welcome.
  • Assist with updating customer accounts in the property management software, to ensure accurate records.
  • Purchase equipment and supplies within the approved budget.
  • Enforce all RPHOA rules and regulations with regards to membership, facilities, park, and amenities in an effective and courteous manner at all times.
  • Support to the General Manager and Ambassadors with administrative duties, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Safety Ambassador:
  • Act as an ambassador of the RPHOAs Safety program, as implemented by the Facilities & Amenities Manager.
  • Create and implement a detailed emergency response plan for each special event.
  • Ensure that safe practices and policies are being adhered to for all recreational offerings.
  • Assist with implementing necessary changes to the RPHOA Safety Program, as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Special Event Management, Recreation Administration, Marketing and Social Media Management, or at least four (4) years work experience in one of these fields.
  • Experience in overseeing social, cultural and recreational programs, events, and services.
  • Experience in event planning, development, and execution.
  • Must have exceptional communication and computer skills, with knowledge of Publisher, MS Office, Canva, or other design software.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, organization skills, project management, and conflict resolution skills required.
  • Must thrive in a positive work culture, where teamwork is the name of the game.
  • Experience and knowledge of budget management.
  • Proven interpersonal, public relations, presentation, verbal and written communication skills, as well as negotiation and sales skills.
  • Must be a reliable, punctual, self-starter with strong work ethic, who is able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable and willing to grow and develop with the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail, with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Must be able to work well with others while taking direction and feedback.
  • Experience in marketing and social media advertising is considered to be an asset.
  • Experience in sponsorship recruitment is considered to be an asset.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (training will be provided, if required).
  • A valid Class 5 Drivers License and vehicle available for supply runs.
  • Bondable.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check.
