Relationship Management Coordinator, Fund Development
Full-Time, Contract (Approximately 3 Years) *Two positions available*

The Relationship Management Coordinator positions focus on the management of relationships with those individuals and organizations that are either potential or established philanthropic financial contributors in support of the mission of CMHA Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services. These positions are frontline professionals working as part of an integrated team to initiate, grow and retain donor-centric relationships ultimately leading to solicitation for support.
The organization will evaluate this position prior to the end of term which may result in extension or a conversion to permanent status

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING:
  • What you'll be making - $40.25 per hour (Relationship Management Coordinator Grid).
    • The above are initial rates; with grid increases as per policy
    • Internal staff members will be placed on the appropriate grid based on their current rate of pay, up to Level 8 of the grid (see Intranet Policy - http://bit.ly/CompensationPolicyPg16)
  • When you'll work - 70 hours over two-week period; Hours will be Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Your pension plan - Immediately eligible for optional enrollment in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
  • Your benefits will be – 9% in lieu of benefits

HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE:
Support of Fund Development Team:
  • Assists with organizing and directing the day-to-day work of staff, including program tasks and distribution of work amongst staff members
  • Travels to assigned program sites for the purpose of checking-in with staff and teams on a regular basis
  • Builds relationships with staff members to support collaboration, well-being, program improvement, and a positive work environment
  • Monitors team dynamics and well-being; consults with leadership to address concerns; addresses questions and concerns from staff members in a manner that is constructive and respectful
  • Consults with leadership to address performance issues
  • Assists with performance reviews for staff members, as assigned by leadership
  • Provides staff members with supervision
  • Ensures effective and timely flow of information amongst staff members, as well as to and from leadership
  • Respects and acknowledges the contributions, opinions and expertise of all team members
  • Utilizes effective conflict management skills
Campaign Operations:
  • Effectively interact and build authentic relationships as assigned with current donors, potential donors, process partners, and colleagues through face-to-face in-person meetings, on-line video sessions, on-site participation in events, and other means as appropriate.
  • Conduct all development work within the parameters of a critical pathway that defines phases and stages of the development process.
  • Reach out to an evergreen contact list of potential donors and past donors each week via telephone calls, emails, text messages and other means as appropriate to enlist them in conversations that will lead to qualification of those who have the potential to become donors or recommit to support
  • Attend point-of-entry and other fundraising events sponsored or conducted by the organization, as well as community and organization events as appropriate, both during and outside of normal working hours, to raise the development profile of the organization while prospecting for new potential donors.
  • Provide timely, accurate and complete contact reports to enable a management and tracking system to ensure proper records of actions within the critical path process.
  • Schedule, plan, conduct and report on an average number of actions per work week that meet criteria and activity-level/measurable targets.
  • Attend one designated development team meeting per work week. Participate in brief daily huddles with the Integrated Development Team's Process Manager
  • Other duties as required

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY:
Police Vulnerable Sector Check Requirements
Successful candidates must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check completed in the last six months. Interested applicants who reside in the City of London and are in need of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) are encouraged to apply for one as soon as possible as PVSCs in the City of London are currently taking approximately 2 weeks to be processed and offers of employment cannot be made without receipt of a PVSC.
We require the following qualifications:
  • University degree and/or a combination with significant experience in relationship management with stakeholder (primary proof of credentials will be required during the hiring process i.e. original degree/diploma or official transcript)
  • Drivers licence and access to a vehicle with adequate insurance to carry out job duties
  • Demonstrated success in providing exceptional customer service and/or donor interactions.
  • Significant attention to detail and quality of work product.
  • Understanding of fundraising processes and philanthropy
  • Current, clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work regularly
  • Interpersonal & High Emotional Intelligence: Superior active listening skills, empathy, and the ability to build trust-based relationships with donors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills required with demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking, interviewing and engagement processes, and meeting new people, as well as in creating and maintaining relationships.

  • Personal Attributes: High-energy self-starter who consistently takes initiative
  • Technology Proficiency: Competence in relevant computer applications particularly Microsoft Office and Outlook; knowledge of computerized documentation methods.
  • Experience in Raiser's Edge
  • Time Management: Ability to maintain and focus on priorities
