General Laborer [ Construction trades helpers and labourers]

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

· Utilize hand and power tools.

· Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.

· Install, repair and service interior or exterior prefabricated products.

· Work in conjunction with crew members to complete field projects or tasks.

· Perform duties in compliance with company and legislation policies, procedures and health & safety regulations.

· Perform other duties within the employee's skill set, as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

· 1 year of working experience

· Experience: carpentry, general painting and general construction are considered an asset

· Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations would be an asset

· Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.

· Drivers License and vehicle a must

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10-12 hours/day.

· Able to lift 50lbs.

· Use proper lifting techniques for heavy items weighing more than 25 kilograms

· Must be able to work in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures for 10-12 hours / day
