Summary:
CSN is seeking a high-potential, detail-oriented, hands-on, flexible Generalist, People & Culture to be an efficient driver for full lifecycle recruiting. This individual will focus on the interview process, intentionally seeking diverse candidates. This individual will use our values and strive for greatness to guide and develop the next generation of employees. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture (P&C), the successful candidate must have experience with full-cycle recruitment and building the employer's brand, ensuring that CSN is positioned to attract, hire, and retain the next generation, who will contribute to the growth of our network.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Support the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.
- Draft and manage offers for corporate employees, corporate store(s) staff, and contractors.
- Coordinate and standardize the onboarding and orientation experience to ensure seamless integration for new hires.
- Work with third-party recruitment firms for contractor placements, recruitment processes, subscriptions, onboarding, offboarding, and LMIA applications for DVCC.
- Assist with developing and executing employer branding and recruitment strategies, including campus recruitment and industry engagement initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
- Provide administrative support for compensation reviews and pay benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable pay structures. Support other teams on payroll management as needed
- Coordinate health benefits administration, retirement plans, and employee perks, ensuring seamless delivery and employee satisfaction.
Training & Development
- Set up new hires, track and follow up on compliance-related training (e.g., workplace safety, anti-harassment, and Citation-mandated training).
- Ensure completion records are up to date and filed accurately
HR Technology & Data Management
- Maintain and optimize HR software and employee records, ensuring data accuracy and security.
- Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to drive data-informed decision-making.
- Support the administration and troubleshooting of CSN chosen HR Platforms, which may include ADP, Desjardins EmployerD, Workable, and Certn, ensuring efficient system operations.
- Assist with HR technology renewals, including Workable, and support HRIS sourcing and setup efforts.
- Identify opportunities to automate HR processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness
Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in an HR, People & Culture, or Talent Acquisition support role
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
- Familiarity with HR platforms (ADP, Workable, Certn) is an asset
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a positive team environment
Work Environment and Requirements
- Ability to attend the Oakville, Ontario office 2-3 times a week (Hybrid)
- Open concept office environment.
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel may be required, including overnight stays.
