As a Licensed Technician in our Mississauga branch, is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of company and customer equipment. Includes Dry Vans, Reefers, Heaters, Flat beds, Chassis, specialized equipment haulers, livestock haulers, tankers and company owned service vehicles.

The successful candidate will be performing the following duties:Assess, diagnosis and repair; ensure work on trailers is completed as quality work'; fix it right the first time
Accurately and legibly complete work order
Report damages, suspected chargebacks or additional work not stipulated on work order to Lead Hand or Service Manager
On completion, verify: Parts, VIN plate, sign, hubo reading, work performed, tire work, potential damage, reefer/heater info engine hours, measurements tire and brake, retorque tag, sign off.
Perform yard shunt duties as/when needed

Competency in trade and/or holds a valid provincial certificate of qualifications in trade
Knowledge of Shop safety principles and behaviours
Interest in and aptitude for mechanical work
Ability to read manuals and directive text
Basic knowledge of ABS diagnostic software
Good written and oral communication
Problem solving and decision making skills
Works well with others; team player
Ability to lift up to 85 lbs
Ability to regularly stand, walk, kneel, sit, bend down and reach up and talk or hear
Frequently required to use hands to feel, handle or reach
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
May be exposed to noise, vibration, grease, oil, gasoline, exhaust fumes and odours
