As part of our growth goals, we are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Shop Manager to assist our operations team.

About the Role:This role involves leading and driving the success of our production team. You will work with the scheduling team to ensure customers receive a world-class project experience. You will also collaborate with our sales and purchasing teams to ensure quality standards and on-time delivery objectives are met. We're a family business with big goals, where everyone is involved and teamwork is key to execution. There's no place for bureaucracy or egos.

What you will do:

  • Drive production efficiency through:
    • Coaching and training production workers
    • Proactive job planning and review
    • Make & Update Job Instructions (Build books)
  • Ensure a world class on time delivery %
    • Lead daily shop meeting
    • Coordinate day to day activities in shop to ensure job completion
    • Coach and support teams on problem solving
  • Maintain quality standards for installations
    • Ensure continuous progress on training and standards
  • Update work orders based on project requirements
  • Lead Weekly production meeting
  • Coordinate with operations and scheduling team

KPI's

  • Develop a High-Performing Team
  • Build a Scalable Production Workforce
  • Execute Operational Plan to Grow Revenue

Your Experience:

  • 47 years of experience as a Production Manager
  • 5 years of customer-facing experience
  • Driver's license; able to drive large vans
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with work orders and Excel
  • Hands-on experience in automotive mechanical or hydraulic systems
  • Experience with 12V or 120V electrical systems

Nice to have:

  • Familiar with NSM + CMVSS Vehicle Certification Process
  • Experience with lean manufacturing
