About the Council

The Invasive Species Council of BC works across the province to address invasive species issues. Through education and stewardship initiatives we build capacity to prevent, manage, and heal ecosystems and communities from the impacts of invasive species.

In 2025, ISCBC celebrates 20 years of advancing the conversation on invasive species management and biodiversity conservation at a community, provincial, national, and international level.

Working with the Council offers opportunities for professional development and leadership experience while supporting the growth of a progressive conservation organization that works with a diverse range of interest holders.

Based in Williams Lake, BC, ISCBC operates with a remote team located throughout the province.

About the Role

As part of the Engagement and Fundraising Team, the Digital Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for driving awareness, fostering engagement, and generating donations and donation leads through strategic communications and marketing initiatives. This role is key to expanding our reach, building affinity and connection to our mission, and engaging people in British Columbia in invasive species prevention and management, and the work of the Council.

The Digital Engagement Coordinator will develop compelling content to engage a wide range of people, as well as recognize and celebrate the stories of the Council and the people connected to our work. As a strategic marketer with a passion for growth, the Digital Engagement Coordinator develops and implements ISCBCs top of funnel integrated campaigns across digital and traditional channelsbringing together creativity, data, and audience insights to increase visibility, grow our community of prospective donors and nurture early-stage relationships.

Working closely with the Manager of Planning, your work will contribute to healthy lands and waters, resilient communities, and strong economies.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and execute top-of-funnel awareness and lead generation campaigns and programs
  • Assess community growth strategies performance and adapt as needed to achieve organizational goals.
  • Use data and audience insights to identify growth opportunities, inform targeting strategies and continuously refine campaigns for maximum impact.
  • Facilitate supporter journeys, including proactive monitoring and strengthening of UI/UX of digital assets, web touchpoints, automations, etc. to improve community growth results.
  • Update supporter profiles and develop audience segments to personalize e-mail communications based on preferences, interests, and history.
  • Implement A/B testing of subject lines, content, layouts, and calls to action to improve email performance, and conversion rates and increase revenue and retention potential.
  • Manage and update online donation forms to support fundraising campaigns.
  • Oversee the donor database, including maintenance, supporter journey UI/UX, reports, and system infrastructure.
  • Deliver and grow the ISCBC membership program through benefit delivery and organic and paid marketing strategies.

Other Responsibilities

  • Provide reports for Council leadership, including the Communications and Finance Committees and the Board of Directors.
  • Develop related standard operating procedures, where applicable.

What you Bring Education / Qualifications / Competencies

  • Ability to identify, create, and act on opportunities.
  • Capacity to manage, negotiate and triage conflicting and concurrent priorities.
  • Creativity and superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Agility and resourcefulness to respond to and resolve unexpected occurrences in a thoughtful and timely manner.
  • Sound ability to analyze, plan, initiate and complete projects on time.
  • Ability to multi-task with exceptional attention to detail while remaining outcome oriented.
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases is an asset (Preferably Donor Perfect).
  • Familiarity with e-mail communication tools is an asset (Preferably Constant Contact).
  • Fundraising experience an asset.

Minimum Experience:

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time, remote position based in British Columbia. Part time or adapted schedules will be considered for qualified candidates.
  • Travel will occasionally be required, primarily within the province of British Columbia.
  • Evenings and weekends may occasionally be required.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $50,000-$57,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
