Position Overview:
As the Bar Manager, you'll be at the heart of the action, leading our bar team, curating a creative cocktail menu, ensuring the bar runs smoothly, and creating an unforgettable experience for guests. This is a hands-on role that involves managing staff, inventory, and operations while fostering a fun, positive environment for both employees and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bar Operations: Oversee daily operations of the bar, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise bartenders and bar staff, ensuring excellent service standards and team cohesion.
- Customer Experience: Engage with guests, ensuring they have a memorable experience while enjoying drinks and arcade games. Handle customer complaints and issues with professionalism.
- Menu Development: Assist with and curate a creative cocktail list and ensure the bar menu aligns with the venue's theme and brand.
- Inventory Control: Manage stock levels, place orders, and track inventory to minimize waste and ensure adequate supply of all bar essentials.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all liquor laws, health, and safety regulations are strictly adhered to, including alcohol service and cleanliness standards.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor bar revenue, manage budgets, and help maximize profitability.
- Event Coordination: Assist with special events, promotions, and theme nights to increase bar sales and attract customers.
Qualifications:
- Willingness to undergo a current Background Check.
- Eligible to work in Canada without restrictions.
- 5+ years of restaurant experience in the hospitality industry.
- 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
- Strong business acumen and organizational skills.
- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
- Smart Serve Certified, Food Handler Certification, Joint Health & Safety Committee Certification (considered an asset).
