Position Overview:
The Controller will be responsible for leading the financial reporting process, implementing and improving financial systems, and ensuring timely, accurate reporting under ASPE standards.The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in accounting and financial management, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a proactive approach to process improvement and system implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance withASPE (Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises)
• Provide accounting support and oversight for nonprofit activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Liaise with external auditors, and tax advisors
• Support strategic planning and decision-making with accurate financial insightsSupervise and mentor accounting team members

Required Qualifications:

• CPA designation(CA, CGA, CMA) or equivalent
• Minimum 7 yearsof progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience in a Controller or similar senior financial role
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a growth-focused company
• Experience with financial reporting under ASPE
• Proven experience in building and enhancing accounting systems

• Experience withYardi Voyageris an asset
• Proficiency inPower BIis an asset
• Experience innonprofit accountingprinciples
