On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Plant Operations Manager to lead operations at a commercial-scale
SCM production facility in Mississauga, utilizing CO2 for decarbonization. This full-time, in-person role is
responsible for optimizing plant performance, ensuring site safety, and driving continuous improvement. The
ideal candidate is based in the Mississauga area and is AVAILABLE TO START AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Operations Management
•Oversee production control, safety compliance, and overall team performance to ensure optimal plant functionality
Leadership & Coordination
•Lead daily operations in alignment with project specifications and timelines. Collaborate with contractors and stakeholders, resolve issues promptly, and maintain continuous productivity.
Planning & Compliance
•Support operational planning, monitor costs, and contribute to execution strategies. Manage reporting, work permits, and ensure HSE compliance for safe and efficient site operations.
Qualifications
Experience
•15–20 years in an industrial processing environment, including 5+ years in a leadership role. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive improvements in efficiency, safety, and cost control.
Technical Expertise
•Strong knowledge of industrial systems and workflows in sectors such as cement, potash, oil & gas, or clean energy. Familiar with CMMS, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI).
Process & Safety
•Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles, and a solid grasp of health and safety practices in heavy industry.
•Experience in production management, maintenance, and process optimization.
Additional Assets
•Mechanical or Electrical trades certification, ability to interpret technical documents and schedules, strong
interpersonal and communication skills. Valid driver's license and Standard First Aid required.
