- Receive all deliveries to shop/arrange pick up for commercial and residential materials
- P.O.'s will be supplied by the Residential Coordinator (RC), Project Coordinator (PC) or Project Administrator (PA)
- PO's will be sent via email when materials are ready to pick up
- Quality control deliveries / pick-ups to ensure accuracy of order and verify that there is no damage
- Ensure driver is following process to avoid / minimize receiving errors
- Track all back-orders / short shipments and advise applicable individual (RC, PC or PA) of status
- Arrange delivery to site where applicable
- Packing slip to be dated and signed by receiver and submitted to Accounting for reconciliation
- Advise PA/PC when materials have shipped to site to facilitate installation

- Receive fabrication drawings from PCs. Check fabrication package for:
- Complete package including accessories
- Accuracy of information
- Special requirements prior to cutting material
- Cutting list is supplied and accurate, compared against Fabrication drawings
- Distribute / delegate to appropriate shop personnel to begin fabrication process
- Attend production schedule meetings with the Project Managers (PM), PC's and General Manager (GM) to discuss:
- Project status and timelines
- Priorities, issues, concerns
- All other details relate to schedule
- Meetings are mandatory and must proceed if a team member cannot be present
- Maintain production schedule based on fab drawings releases
- Attend weekly meetings to determine priorities
- Fabricate frames based on production schedule
- The production schedule will include all projects which are in fabrication and near future project fabrication
- Details will include all stages of fabrication and duration

- Schedule deliveries based on production schedule / completion
- Driver to ensure materials are placed in the allocated storage room
- Driver to confirm items were placed in storage room by dating and signing packing slip
- Confirm miscellaneous materials with PC, required for installation, prior to shipping frames
- Package miscellaneous materials, such as anchors, screws, glazing rubber, tapes, clips, sealants, shims, setting blocks etc.
- Arrange inclusive shipment to site
- Prepare materials for break shape: for closures, sills etc.
- Ensure enough materials are available in advance
- Review electronic time sheets weekly for all shop / service employees for job tracking requirements
- Keep and maintain a logbook of all outgoing and incoming tools being sent to job sites and monitor their return. Confirm they are in good working order and complete upon return
- Repair any damaged equipment and notify management of any missing equipment
- Ensure shop machinery is in safe working condition by lubrication, cleaning etc.
- Assist with the development of Goals & Objectives for the Company and the Production Department
- Motivate and lead co-workers to ensure Company Policies, Roles & Responsibilities and Company Objectives are being met
- This may require special acknowledgements or disciplines which will be handled by management
- Management must be aware of either situation prior to action being required
- Ensure that vehicles are maintained according to Company Vehicle Policy
- Check that all truck inventory such as levels, first aid, map, fire extinguisher, ropes are all still in trucks and are in working order
- Report on any truck maintenance related issues to the General Manager
- Schedule all repairs and maintenance on vehicles and trailers
- Ensure that drivers follow all MTO procedures
- trailers are properly loaded and secured
- Assist in teaching / training all shop / service employees on machines which they will be working on
- A trainee / employee sign-off form will be provided for you for each machine and will be kept within the office
- Ensure stockroom is supplied and organized
- Request materials as needed
- Prepare inventory checklist for future inventory control
- Provide GM with inventory usage updates for Project Cost Allocation
- Ensure all employees are following Uniform Policy
- All employees must be wearing proper footwear and hearing / eye protection when required and are customer or supplier facing
- Ensure employees follow all other company policies such as filling out Maintenance Logs for machines, Truck Inventory, Cell Phone etc.
- Conduct weekly production meetings with staff
- Review schedules, progress and project status
- Address questions and comments
- Ensure all machinery / equipment is turned off at the end of the day
- Satisfy deficiency list prepared by the contractor in a quick manner to ensure speedy closure of the job provided by the PM
- Coordinate with PC's
- Ongoing Communication with the Construction Manager to discuss a sequence of events and crucial timelines to be met
- Work with PM / CM to ensure the installation team has all the information required to perform tasks
