Job Description:
Our member is looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Mississauga, ON, and help them grow. You will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of projects. You should be able to manage multiple projects at once and ensure that projects are on time and within budget. You should be able to communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Undertake a thorough review of project requirements and develop a working knowledge of project intention, scope of work, budget, selected equipment and vendors and related timelines.
  • Liaise with clients, attend project meetings and exchange communication as necessary to resolve queries, conflicts and objections.
  • Develop schedules that incorporate all projects to ensure adequate resources are identified and available.
  • Review projects on an ongoing basis with the Project Team to forecast and anticipate conflicts and ensure ongoing capability and productivity.
  • Review job costing to ensure compliance to budget and provide feedback to others.
  • Prepare change orders for work beyond initial scope and resolve with client.
  • Liaise with internal project team on Site Instructions, Change Directives, Change Orders, job costing feedback, project schedule and other issues as they may arise.
  • Attend internal meetings related to production, safety and quality.
  • Participate in client billing process.
  • Reviews projects at conclusion of work and closing of project.
  • Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Complete project post-mortems and communicate to team
Qualifications:
  • College/University degree in related field, preferably Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • Project Management 5+ years experience
  • Construction and Mechanical industry experience
  • Ability to read drawings/blue prints
  • AutoCAD 2D/3D
  • HVAC, Plumbing & Sheet Metal knowledge an asset
  • Experience in healthcare projects an asset
Compensation:
  • $90,0000-$115,000 per year
