The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly organized and people-oriented Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator to support our hiring and integration processes. This role is responsible for coordinating candidate outreach, facilitating the interview process, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience, and maintaining accurate training data for the North American region. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates excellent attention to detail, and enjoys connecting people to opportunities while keeping systems running efficiently.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
- Post job openings on internal and external platforms (e.g., Indeed, job boards, ATS).
- Screen resumes, coordinate interview scheduling, and communicate with candidates throughout the process.
- Maintain and update CATS Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to ensure accurate data.
- Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and reference checks.
- Prepare and send offer letters and new hire paperwork.
- Organize and conduct new hire orientations, introducing company policies, culture, and tools.
- Serve as the point of contact for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
- Partner with IT, facilities, and other departments to ensure all onboarding logistics are completed (e.g., equipment setup, system access).
- Monitor and improve onboarding experiences based on feedback and metrics.
- Assist with employer branding initiatives and recruitment marketing campaigns.
- Ensure that records in both global Learning Management Systems are accurately maintained
- Recommend courses for learning and development to employees and managers to promote a culture of continuous learning
- Partners with departments such as Health and Safety, and QC/QA to assist with training set up, as well as share best practices
- Other projects as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in working in an office environment. Previous experience in recruitment is considered an asset.
- Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Business, Human Resources or a related discipline is required.
- Technologically proficient with the ability to adapt and learn new software
- Experience with CATS ATS, or an Applicant Tracking System, is considered an asset,
- Previous experience with Alchemy, Skillsoft Percipio, or a Learning Management System is considered an asset.
- A strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
