We are looking for a Forklift Operator to join our Non Ferrous team in Hamilton, Ontario! This is a full-time, permanent position. You will be responsible for moving material through the facility while safely operating a forklift and other heavy equipment as needed.
What you're responsible for:
- Operating a forklift and other heavy equipment to safely load and unload non ferrous material
- Transporting materials to appropriate areas in the yard
- Assisting with yard/facility organization and inventory management
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, free of any lose material
- Following all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
To join our team:
- You have previous experience operating a forklift (asset)
- You have a minimum of 12 months experience as a labourer
- You are comfortable working in a loud and dusty environment
- You are comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (mask, plugs, hard hat, glasses)
- You have basic computer skills and the ability to work in a team and on your own
