Pricing Analyst

We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented Pricing Analyst to join our FP&A team. The ideal candidate is passionate about driving business growth through predictive analytics and insightful recommendations. This position will collaborate with other departments and requires experience with pricing strategies. The Pricing Analyst will report to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and support the analysis of business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain the pricing repository within the ERP system to ensure a single source of truth. This includes overseeing data accuracy and consistency, ensuring on-time uploads of pricing changes, and working closely with the Sales team to identify and resolve any pricing discrepancies with our retail partners. The goal is to eliminate internal confusion and prevent miscommunication with external stakeholders.
- Validate proposed pricing from the Sales team to ensure it meets or exceeds Storkcrafts internal margin expectations, while also aligning with individual retailer margin requirements and market positioning.
- Support the development and evaluation of pricing for new products, existing SKUs, and any changes driven by freight, tariff, or cost fluctuations.
- Collaborate on the calculation of promotional pricing and related margin impacts, ensuring they support strategic sales goals without compromising profitability.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance pricing processes, tools, and methodologies for improved efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as the primary contact for pricing data and analysis, working cross-functionally to ensure timely and accurate updates of pricing information.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance pricing models and reports to deliver clear insights into pricing performance, profitability, and competitive trends.
- Conduct landed cost and net margin analyses to support data-driven pricing decisions and maximize gross profit.
- Analyze internal cost structures, competitive pricing, and market dynamics to make well-informed pricing recommendations.
- Manage the end-to-end pricing update process, ensuring accurate execution, validation, and documentation.
- Provide regular and ad hoc reporting to support senior leadership and drive commercial decision-making.
- Monitor and refine pricing policies and processes, ensuring clarity and consistency across the business.
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align pricing strategies with broader business objectives and ensure effective communication during changes.
- Maintain effective internal controls and ensure data accuracy within pricing systems and tools.
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects as required.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a retail or distribution environment.
- Advanced modeling skills, with experience conducting complex pricing analyses and generating data-driven insights.
- Bachelors degree in finance, business, or a related discipline.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with a strategic, big-picture mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels within the company.
