About the Role: Medical Office Assistant
The Aspen Medical Clinic is looking fora full-timeMedical Office Assistant to join our team. In this role, youll be at the center of patient care coordinationscheduling appointments, communicating with patients, managing physician calendars, and keeping daily clinic operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities
- Manage both internal and external phone lines, ensuring calls are directed to the right team members
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments, tests, and follow-ups, keeping physician schedules organized
- Greet patients and guide them to the appropriate resources and services
- Maintain and update patient records in our electronic medical system
- Accurately measure and document vital signs for each patient
- Share collected information with the medical team to ensure coordinated care
- Handle confidential communications via phone, email, fax, and mail
- Perform administrative tasks and clerical duties to support the clinics operations
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and equipment
- Monitor and manage inventory of medical supplies, placing orders as necessary
What You Bring to the Table
- A Medical Secretary, Medical Office Assistant, or Unit Clerk diploma is preferred
- Experience with Accuro and Connect Care is a strong asset
- A solid understanding of medical terminology and record maintenance
- Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience handling confidential information and knowledge of data privacy laws
