Aqua Fast Flush Ltd. is in an exciting phase of growth, and were looking for a driven, hands-on HR Manager to lead the development of our HR function from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to own both the strategic direction and daily operations of HR, while building the systems and culture that support a high-performing workforce.
This is currently a one-person department, ideal for someone who thrives in a roll-up-your-sleeves environment and is eager to build scalable people practiceswith the opportunity to grow the HR team in the future.

What Youll Do

  • Own and execute the day-to-day management of HR operations: employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, policy implementation, HR records management, and compliance
  • Serve as the internal expert on ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code, and other relevant legislation, ensuring compliance and best practices across the business
  • Partner with managers and the leadership team on people-related matters
  • Coordinate and support payroll and benefits administration
  • Drive employee engagement and performance management processes aligned with our core values
  • Lead and support employee lifecycle such as recruitment, training, employee retention and growth initiatives
  • Serve as the leader of the Joint Health and Safety Committee, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, and driving a safety-first culture
  • Identify and act on HR gaps and process improvements with urgency and professionalism
  • Provide HR reporting and insights to leadership and support organizational planning
  • Support leadership in shaping an engaging, feedback-driven culture rooted in our core values: Punctuality, Honesty, Integrity, Tenacity, Effectiveness and Safety (P.H.I.T.E.S)
  • Contribute to organizational planning and future growth, including the potential to grow the HR department in the future

What You Bring

  • 58 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership or stand-alone HR roles
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario and Canadian employment legislation (ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code)
  • Experience managing employee relations, HR compliance, and full-cycle HR operations
  • Demonstrated success in leading or participating in Joint Health and Safety Committees
  • Experience in a growing company where flexibility and initiative were essential
  • Familiarity with payroll and benefits practices
  • Experience with BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms is a strong asset
  • CHRP or CHRL designation preferred
  • High emotional intelligence, integrity, and a practical, hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
