Van Haven Design Group Inc. is a growing residential architecture firm specializing in custom, high-end homes across Ontario. We're known for our creative, practical, and sustainable design solutions.

We are currently seeking a motivated Architectural Designer or Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow with a creative firm and work on unique, design-driven projects.

This position is a full time position (40 hours per week) with the opportunity to work overtime. Pay is per hour and based solely on experience of the applicant. If chosen, the applicant will be placed on a 3 month probationary term to assess ability and fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop construction drawings and permit sets for residential and light commercial projects
• Work collaboratively with principal designer and consultants from concept through completion
• Translate design concepts into detailed 2D and 3D documentation
• Create presentation materials including renderings and visualizations
• Ensure compliance with OBC and municipal zoning regulations

Qualifications:

• BCIN Qualified or willing to obtain BCIN qualification– General/House or Small Buildings
• 2+ years of relevant experience in architectural design or drafting
• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience in 3D rendering or animation is considered an asset
• Solid understanding of OBC and construction detailing
• Passionate about residential design with an eye for thoughtful, high-performance homes
• A daring, creative mindset and a strong drive for innovation
• Honest, dependable, highly detailed, organized, and strong communication skills
