Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, you will join the Major Projects team building some of the most meaningful and needed multi-year Hospital projects in British Columbia. These projects range from $30 - $400 million with a typical duration of 3 to 7 years.

This role is best suited for those with strong project management and leadership skills who want to make an impact. You'll be part of a progressive and supportive environment that fosters high performance and continuous development, enabling individuals and teams to grow meaningfully while meeting or exceeding project deliverables.

Location
This is a site-based role on project sites across the Lower Mainland, BC, and Western Canada. Compensation will reflect factors such as work location and any applicable shift schedules.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage time, cost, quality, risks and financial performance of assigned scope.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the assigned scope of the design-build process, in collaboration with user groups, engineers, architects, and vendors
  • Develop, review, and provide feedback on project schedules.
  • Assemble submittals and other project documentation (including technical, safety, environmental, QA/QC, insurance, bonding, permits, etc.)
  • Purchase materials and equipment ensuring delivery on schedule
  • Estimate changes to scope and value engineering options
  • Collaborate with construction team to plan, monitor, and manage labor requirements
  • Lead, manage, and mentor assigned Junior Project Managers or Project Coordinators to ensure their development
  • Work with the Safety Manager, foreman, and superintendent to ensure safety on site is the #1 priority

Your experience and skills

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Minimum 7 years of construction project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience as the lead project manager leading a minimum of two projects with contract values of over $7 million is required
  • Understanding of project financial reporting and contract law
  • Experience creating, monitoring and updating project schedules
  • Experience estimating projects and/or changes
  • Experience with Electrical and/or Technology scopes within buildings is preferred
  • Project Management training or certification. PMP, an asset
  • Electrical certification or degree in Electrical Engineering is an asset

Salary range: $95,000-$120,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with location, shift schedules, experience, skills and overall match to the position offered. Let's chat throughout the hiring process and determine the best fit.
