Position Overview

Storkcraft is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing Team. This role is ideal for someone starting their design career and looking to grow within a supportive and collaborative environment that values both creativity and professional growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our marketing initiatives through compelling visual design across multiple platforms and mediums.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Production

  • Collaborate with the Brand Manager to ensure all designs align with Storkcraft's brand guidelines and visual identity
  • Assist in creating and updating visual content for digital and print marketing materials, including social media graphics, email campaigns, website assets, and promotional materials
  • Work with existing templates to ensure brand consistency and efficient production
  • Contribute to the development of new design concepts and creative ideas
  • Support product launches, seasonal campaigns, and day-to-day marketing needs with visual assets

Project Management & Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and sales
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Maintain organized project files and design asset libraries
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • Be open to feedback and eager to learn new tools, techniques, and design approaches

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field
  • Internship, freelance, or school project experience in graphic design
  • Portfolio showcasing strong design fundamentals and brand-consistent work

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Canva
  • Experience with the Adobe Suite
  • Understanding of layout, typography, and color theory
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital file formats

Core Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience in retail, consumer products, or family-focused brand environments
  • Knowledge of print production processes
  • Photography or video editing skills
  • Experience with generative AI tools for visual content creation

Work Environment

This position requires a minimum of three days per week in our Richmond, BC office, with flexibility for remote work on remaining days. Our office environment is collaborative and creative, with opportunities for mentorship and professional development. The role may occasionally require extended hours during peak campaign periods or product launches.
