Human Resources Manager
We are currently looking for aHuman Resources Managerto support our employees across Canada.
In addition to being responsible for the functions typically associated with an HR Management role, this person would be a key player with respect to recruitment, the local management of our HRIS system, as well as providing support to global HR programs and initiatives.
We are looking for someone who can develop strong relationships with managers and employees alike to resolve any employee relation issues, and to provide strategic advice on HR/recruitment matters. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards with respect to data management is a must. Individuals who are self-motivated and work well independently will thrive in this position.
This role is an on-site role, based out of our Markham office, with the potential to move to a hybrid schedule. In this role you will be reporting directly to the Director of HR for the Americas region, based in the USA.
Responsibilities:
- Educates and advises managers on statutory or regulatory requirements in one or more areas of staff management such as compensation, benefits, recruitment, selection and performance management.
- Management of local compliance matters with respect to Health and Safety.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including managing performance processes, disciplinary actions, and terminations in accordance with legal and company policies.
- Supports all recruitment efforts in the region, including onboarding and entering and processing of new hire information and records. (Internal recruiters are primarily responsible for candidate search and interviewing).
- Manages benefits administration to include employee enrollments and termination, claims resolution, change reporting to carriers and brokers, and timely communication ofbenefitsinformation and eligibility to employees.
- Responsible for managing local employee records on the HRIS system. Completes regular data audits to ensure 100% data accuracy.
- Supports the global management of the HRIS platform. Regularly conducts data audits and supports the global quarterly reporting process. Creates reports for the executive team, as required.
- Manage annual compensation review including salary, bonuses and commissions.
- Provide support to global HR and recruitment initiatives, as required.
- Some Global HR experience is a strong asset.
- Other duties as required.
Qualification & Experience:
- 3 - 5 years (minimum) of HR Generalist experience
- Previous experience managing an HRIS, preferably BambooHR
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exemplary interpersonal skills with the ability to interact in a positive manner with team members utilizing tact, diplomacy and compromise
- Demonstrated superior organizational and time management skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
- Must speak English
